Dear Hollywood…
January 29th, 2006
I would like to draw your attention to the number two. The number two was first thought of when a man named John Counting realised that sometimes there is more than one of something. After realising this, he created a process we now call “counting”.
A basic demonstration of counting is as follows 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and finally 10. Often mistakes can be made with this process. For example, occasionally the word “two” gets mixed up with the words “Reloaded” or “Evolution”. Of course this is an easy mistake to make, but it is a mistake none the less and I feel efforts should be made to prevent it from happening so regulary.
With this in mind, in future, when you bring out a sequel to a film, the correct naming convention would be to use the original title of the film, followed by the number two. If you were then to bring out an additional sequel, you would use the number three (please refer to my demonstration of counting above for help with this).
Examples of this mistake being made are listed below, along with my corrections.
The Matrix Reloaded - The Matrix 2
The Matrix Revolutions - The Matrix 3
Aliens – Alien 2
Underworld Evolution – Underworld 2
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls – Ace Ventura 2
The one exception to this rule concerns the Mission Impossible films, these films should have been named as follows:
Mission Impossible
Mission Impossibler
Mission Impossiblist
I hope this has been of assistance, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions
Yours sincerely

P.S. Please do not make Pride and Prejudice again. You’ve done it now, you’ve done it many many times. It’s over.
